The short version

We collect as little as possible, we don't sell anything to anyone, and we don't follow you around the internet. We count page views so we know whether anyone is finding us, using a tool that sets no cookies and can't identify you.

Who we are

The Bride Test is run by Keinan Wahbi, a sole trader in Australia, ABN 74 133 266 217.

What we collect

If you buy a party, we receive your email address from Stripe when you pay. We never see your card details — Stripe handles those, and we never store them.

When you set up your party, we store the bride's name, the questions and answers you write, and any photos you upload. On Premium, we also store the video messages you record.

When your guests join, we store the display name they type in and the answers they give during the game. Guests don't create accounts and never give us an email address or a password.

On Premium, if your guests contribute to a Time Capsule, we store their messages, memories, predictions and any video they record.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running the site securely.

Counting visitors

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and see roughly where visitors came from — a search, a link, an ad. It sets no cookies, uses no cross-site identifier, and gives us aggregate numbers rather than anything about you personally. We use it to work out whether our advertising is worth the money, and for nothing else.

It never runs inside a party. Your questions, answers, photos, videos and capsule messages are never sent to it.

What we don't do

No tracking cookies. No advertising networks on this site. No selling or sharing your information with anyone for marketing. We never use your photos, videos or answers for anything other than running your party.

Cookies and browser storage

If you're the host, we set one cookie so your browser is recognised as the person running that party. It lasts 30 days and does nothing else. Guests get a token stored in their browser so they stay in the game if they refresh. We also remember whether you muted sounds. There are no third-party cookies.

Your recap page is public

When a party finishes, the recap page can be opened by anyone with the link. It shows guests' display names and scores. It isn't listed publicly or indexed, but treat the link as shareable — because it's designed to be shared.

Photos and videos

These are stored privately and only served through temporary links that expire after an hour.

Who we share information with

Stripe, for payments. Supabase, for our database and file storage — your data is stored in Sydney. Vercel, for hosting. Google Workspace, for our email. Resend, for sending receipts and reminders. Some of these process data overseas, mainly in the United States.

How long we keep it

  • Your party — the names, answers, scores and recap are deleted 12 months after the party.
  • Photos and videos — deleted with the party they belong to.
  • Time Capsules you haven't sealed— kept for 18 months from the night, so there's time to seal it before the wedding without rushing.
  • Sealed Time Capsules — kept until the day they open, then deleted 12 months after that.
  • Purchase records— kept for 7 years, because tax law requires it. These are detached from your party when it's deleted, so what remains is the transaction, not the game.

Deletion runs automatically every day.

Getting a copy, or having it deleted

Email hello@thebridetest.com and we'll sort it out within 2 business days. If you want a party deleted, tell us the party code.

Age

This is a product for adults' parties. It isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
